Bellaria Hotel****

Decorated with beautiful lilac bushes – as it still is today – the Summer Garden of the Onyx Resort welcomed its first clients in the year 1962 ( at that date, it was called Zahana).

Because it was situated in a peacefull area, surrounded by green, the garden has always been an attraction for the people and tourists in Yassy. Here, you could find the best traditional dishes, like borsch, stakes, and the traditional wine of the house, barrelled in a cellar underneath the garden.

In 1997, when the hotelier changed, the garden changed its name from Zahana to Onyx. In 1999, the garden suffered a lot of changes and redecorations. In the same year the first classic restaurant, and a part of the indoor terasse were built. Pavements were built in the garden, facilitating the organisation. In 2006 the second Moldavian restaurant, Rustic, was opened, with a different and diverse menu and design. Next year, Gourmet, the third restaurant, special through its refined elegance and Victorian style, opened.

The growth process of Onyx resort continues in 2008, when a four-star hotel opens, and a general rebranding begins, the name being changed from Onyx to Bellaria.
